Honesty first — what this is and isn't
This is a formative self-check, not a normed psychometric instrument. We don't show percentiles because we don't have norming data — and we won't invent any. Every attempt samples one fresh question from each of ten subdomains per domain, so retakes are meaningful. The full question banks are openly published (CC BY-NC-ND) — this is a mirror to learn from, not a gate to game. Results never leave your browser.

How this works — the whole method, in the open
Sampling. Each domain's bank has 10 subdomains (sections) of 50 questions. This page carries a fixed pool of 3 per subdomain (120 questions total); every attempt draws one random question per subdomain, so a 10-question domain run always covers all ten subdomains, and retakes draw fresh combinations. Answer options are shuffled per attempt.
Scoring. One point per correct answer; skips score zero but are listed separately as growth areas. Domain scores are simple percentages of the 10 questions asked. Subdomain feedback is per-question, which is why it's framed as "look here next", never as a measurement.
Why no percentiles. Percentiles require a norming sample — a defined population that took the same instrument under the same conditions. We don't have one, so we don't show one. Tools that report cognitive percentiles without publishing their norms are asking for trust they haven't earned.
Privacy. Attempt history is stored in your browser's localStorage under im-skills-profiler and never transmitted. Clear it any time from the results screen.
The banks. Questions come from the ImpactMojo Assessment Series (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) — the same 500-question banks behind the Assessed Tracks, written and reviewed for South Asian development practice. Found a bad question? Tell us — the banks are versioned and corrected.
