India's Central Pollution Control Board runs a network of continuous monitoring stations that publish a reading every hour. This shows what they were reading at one particular hour — and, just as telling, where there is nobody reading anything at all.
Concentration averaged across a city's stations, for the hour in the badge above. These are concentrations, not the composite AQI number: the AQI is derived from the worst pollutant at a station over a longer window, so it is not something this snapshot can give you.
A state with no station is not a state with clean air. It is a state with no measurement, and it will never appear in a ranking of the worst places to breathe.
