Last December we laid out a roadmap for 2026 built around three themes: deeper tools for research and evaluation, richer content across more languages and topics, and stronger community through coaching and peer learning.
A roadmap is only worth anything if you come back and mark it honestly. So here, at the halfway point, is exactly that — the same three themes, but with each promise scored: what's live, what's in progress, and what's still ahead. No airbrushing.
The Scorecard
Sampling Design Studio Live
The promised Power & Sample Lab shipped — and grew into a full Sampling Design Studio: cluster design, ICC adjustments, attrition buffers and a defensible written plan, tuned for real field conditions. It absorbed the old standalone sample-size calculator.
The wider Labs & Premium Tools shelf Live
Beyond sampling, the Theory of Change and Logframe builders, an Indicator Workbench, and a growing set of premium tools — ToR builder, RQ builder, qualitative-insights lab, viz cookbook and more — are all live in the Premium Tools shelf.
Survey Cost Estimator & Field Timeline Planner Still ahead
The INR-benchmarked budgeting tool and the monsoon-and-festival-aware scheduler haven't shipped yet. They're still on the plan, not abandoned.
Flagship courses, levelled up Live
All 17 flagship courses now open every module with a concept diagram and a real open-access key reading, and each ships a printable Course Notes PDF you can own and annotate offline. The foundational 101 library grew to 53 self-paced decks, adding GenAI for Practitioners, the DPDP Act, Safeguarding & PSEA and Disability Inclusion.
Regional languages In progress
Site-wide translation into Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu and Marathi is live via the language switcher on every page. Fully native course instruction in each language — rather than translation of the English — is the deeper goal still underway.
Deep Dives & a Case Study Library In progress
The Deep Dives library — annotated, sourced reading paths on real development questions — is live and growing. A permissioned library of full evaluation case studies from South Asian organisations is the piece still ahead.
Verifiable credentials Live
The big one shipped. Four Assessed Tracks (MEL, Data & Technology, Policy & Economics, and AI for M&E) now pair free study with a capstone review and a verifiable certificate, and a Credential Upgrade lets free-pathway completers add just the assessment without re-buying content.
Structured peer cohorts Still ahead
Small groups moving through a course together, with structured discussion and accountability, is the community piece we still owe you.

Built With You
Almost everything above traces back to a conversation with a practitioner. The Sampling Design Studio grew out of M&E managers telling us they spend hours on calculations that should take minutes. The credential work reflects people who'd done the learning and needed a way to prove it. The Libraries hub exists because the platform had quietly become a behemoth and people asked for a single door in.

Staying Accessible
As we grow, we're committed to keeping our core content free. The courses, the labs, the games—these remain open to anyone who wants to learn.
Premium features like advanced coaching, certification, and organisational tools help sustain the platform. But the educational mission comes first. A programme officer in rural Odisha and a consultant in Singapore should both be able to build the same foundational skills.
