ImpactMojo is a free development education platform designed specifically for NGOs, social impact organizations, and development practitioners across South Asia. We offer courses, interactive studios, games, and resources on MEAL, Theory of Change, Research Methods, Gender Studies, and more.

Yes! All core educational content on ImpactMojo is completely free and will remain free forever. We follow a "pay what you think is fair" philosophy. Our optional premium features and tools help sustain the platform while keeping education accessible to all.

Yes. Every signed-up learner earns a free certificate of completion for each course they finish — downloadable as a PDF and shareable on LinkedIn. Premium members (Practitioner tier and up) additionally receive verifiable certificates, each with a public verification page and your assessment scores, and Team plans add branded certificates carrying your organisation's logo.

You can browse and access much of our content without an account. However, creating a free account allows you to track your progress, earn certificates, save your notes, and access personalized features. Registration only takes a minute!

There are three tiers. Explorer is free forever and covers all 70 courses, interactive studios, the 135-game library, reading companions, deep dives and the free-to-use pro tools. Practitioner (₹399/month or ₹3,990/year) unlocks all 18 Practice Packs, exporting from the pro tools, and the Theory of Change Workbench. Professional (₹999/month) adds Advisory Board Pro, VaniScribe transcription, DevData Practice, the Viz Cookbook and priority coaching. Our courses are primarily in English, with select content available in Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Telugu, and Marathi. We are continuously expanding our multilingual offerings to serve development professionals across South Asia.

If you are new, take the 5-question track quiz on the homepage — it suggests a starting track and a few 101 decks based on your role and interests. Otherwise, browse the full catalog, or jump straight into a 101 course deck (short, self-contained) or a flagship course (deep, multi-module).

Flagship courses (19 of them) are deep, multi-module treatments — typically 12–16 modules with an interactive lexicon and an AI study companion. 101 course decks (51 of them) are shorter, native-HTML slide decks that give you the essentials of a topic in one sitting. Together that's 70 free courses. Both are free and need no login to study.

Yes. ImpactMojo is a Progressive Web App: pages you have visited stay available offline, and you can download a flagship course for full offline study. Add the site to your home screen on mobile to use it like an app — useful for fieldwork with patchy connectivity.

Mojini is ImpactMojo's free AI assistant. It answers questions about the platform and about development topics — instant answers for common questions, and an AI model for the long tail. It's grounded in what's actually on the platform, so it can point you to the right course, studio or tool. Look for the chat bubble on most pages.

ImpactLex is a free, plain-language glossary of 490+ development, MEL, economics and policy terms — each with a clear definition and context. It works offline and needs no login.

The Dataverse is a curated directory of 321+ data tools, APIs, datasets and MCP servers for development research — filterable by type and category (government data, health, climate, legal, gender and more). Free to browse.

The Long View is a studio of 31 original, honestly-drawn data visualisations on development, climate, population and inequality — each with a plain-language explainer of what it shows, why that chart type, and what to look for. Every chart starts its axis at zero.

Field Radio is a community station of short voice notes and videos from practitioners, each with a transcript. Deep Dives are curated, annotated reading lists from named scholars. Data Dives are worked analyses of real datasets. All three are free.

Practice Packs are focused 3-hour sprints that walk you through producing a real, finished work document (a ToR, a survey, a logframe). The first two modules of every pack are free. The pro tools — Research Question Builder, ToR Builder, Qualitative Insights Lab, Statistical Code Converter and the Sampling Design Studio — are free to use; a Premium plan unlocks exporting your work.

The Assessment Series is a set of 500-question MCQ banks, each with a full answer key and explanations, across four areas — MEL, Data & Technology, Policy & Economics, and AI for M&E. Each is a branded PDF for ₹499, ideal for exam prep, self-testing or building your own quizzes.

Verifiable certificates (Premium and assessed tracks) carry a unique ID and a public verification page. Anyone — an employer or funder — can confirm a certificate at impactmojo.in/verify by entering its ID.

Assessed tracks (AI for M&E, MEL, Data & Technology, Policy & Economics) are self-paced pathways that end in a capstone assessment and a verifiable credential (₹2,499 each). Already finished a free pathway? You can add just the credential without repeating the learning. The learning itself always stays free; the fee is for the assessment and the verified credential.

Yes. With a free account, your course progress, bookmarks and personal notes are saved to your profile and sync across devices — sign in on your phone and pick up where you left off on your laptop. Without an account, progress is still saved locally in that one browser.

Yes. In your account you can opt into browser notifications and the monthly newsletter. Both are entirely optional and off by default, and you can turn them off at any time.

Payment is a simple, direct UPI process — no gateway fees or middlemen. Send payment to our UPI ID with your registered email as the reference, then fill the short form on the Premium page. We upgrade your account within 24 hours, usually much faster. Organisations that can't use UPI can request invoice billing.

The Research Rundown is a personal Substack newsletter of development-research notes — separate from ImpactMojo's own platform updates. You can subscribe to it from the Community page.

Build Circles are 4-week cohorts where a small group each builds a real AI-for-M&E workflow and demos it — your ₹1,000 deposit is refunded when you demo. Coaching offers 1-on-1 sessions (career, research design, data analysis) on a sliding scale — every booking and interest form has an optional “what works for your budget” field, and we confirm by email, no questions asked. Team workshops are priced per cohort with the same sliding-scale option.

ImpactMojo is open source. You can suggest a course, submit a Field Radio clip, propose an ImpactLex term, translate content, or improve the code on GitHub. See the Contribute page for all the ways to help.

We build to WCAG 2.1 AA and check accessibility automatically every time we make a change — if something breaks it, the change does not go live. We collect the minimum needed to run your account and are compliant with India's IT Act and DPDP 2023. We don't sell your data. Full details are in our Privacy Policy and Data Protection pages; you can export or delete your account data from your profile.

No. ImpactMojo is an educational resource platform focused on learning, not a degree-granting institution. Our certificates mark course completion (and, for assessed tracks, a passed capstone) — they are credentials of learning, not accredited academic degrees.
