Building in the open

Transparency

We believe in building in the open. This page shares how ImpactMojo works, how we make money, our methodology for tracking impact, and our cumulative platform numbers.

Our commitment

Core learning content (courses, games, handouts, reference materials) will always remain free. Paid tiers fund platform development, hosting costs, and new content creation. We do not sell user data or run third-party advertising.

Live Database Numbers

These are current numbers, updated whenever you open this page. Practitioners reached is our all-time total: the people we reached before 2026 plus everyone who has registered since. The engagement figures below are also all-time totals, and we only show a number once it reflects something real — if we haven’t measured it yet, we leave it out rather than show a misleading zero.

Methodology & Data Sources

The numbers on this page come from two sources, combined into cumulative totals:

Legacy Data

Historical records from Google Sheets maintained by the ImpactMojo team since launch, tracking form submissions, enrolment records, and usage logs. Content inventory counts come from a manual count of our published pages. These cover the period before our current analytics setup.

Current Analytics

Google Analytics tracks live platform usage including users, sessions, pageviews, and engagement. The totals shown below combine current analytics with legacy figures. Detailed live breakdowns are available to our team only.

How totals are calculated

Total = Legacy Data + Current Analytics Data. Legacy numbers are approximate (based on Google Forms submissions and manual tracking). Current numbers are as of the most recent update. We do not display the current sub-totals publicly, but the combined total reflects our best estimate of cumulative reach.

Engagement Metric Definitions

  • Users — Unique visitors who loaded a page at least once (current visitor counts plus legacy form submissions).
  • Sessions — A period of activity on the site. A session ends after 30 minutes of inactivity.
  • Engagement Rate — Percentage of sessions that lasted more than 10 seconds, completed an action, or viewed 2+ pages.
  • Course Engagement (chart) — Cumulative unique users per course, combining legacy enrolment records with current per-page visitor counts.
  • Game / Tool Engagement (charts) — Same method applied per game or studio tool.
  • Content Count — Manual count of published pages (courses, games, studios, handouts, etc.).
  • Feature Adoption (table) — Whether a feature is live and its cumulative user count where tracked.

Course Engagement Legacy data as of December 2025

The engagement figures in the charts below are indicative estimates from Google-Sheets era tracking (rounded to the nearest hundred), not precise analytics. They are shown for transparency about our historical reach.

The 12 most-used of the 41 courses that existed when this snapshot was taken (December 2025). Newer courses aren’t shown here because there was nothing to count yet. Figures are rounded estimates, so the differences between courses are within the rounding — the point is that each course reached a few thousand learners.

Accessibility

Development education should reach everyone — including practitioners using a screen reader, a keyboard, a small phone on a slow connection, or a language other than English. We treat accessibility as a core requirement, not an afterthought, and we hold ourselves to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Our full Accessibility Statement explains how we test and how to report a barrier.

We test it on every change

Accessibility is checked automatically every time we make a change: two independent tools run against the site, and if either finds a serious WCAG 2.1 AA problem, the change does not go live. It is not a one-time certificate; it is a check we pass with every update.

Built into every page

  • Keyboard first — everything is operable without a mouse, with visible focus and a “skip to content” link.
  • Screen-reader friendly — clear page structure, labels, and alt text for images.
  • Colour & contrast — AA contrast, and meaning never carried by colour alone.
  • Respects your settings — light / dark / system themes, and we honour “reduced motion”.

Reach & assistance

  • Five South Asian languages — Hindi, Tamil, Bengali, Marathi and Telugu, so language is not a barrier.
  • An assistive toolbar on the site (text size, contrast, spacing, a reading guide and more).
  • Transcripts for audio/video, including every Field Radio clip.
  • Works offline & on low bandwidth — lightweight pages you can revisit without a connection.

Honest about the gaps

Automated audits catch a lot, but not everything, and some third-party embeds and older pages still have known limitations we are working through. If you hit an accessibility barrier anywhere on ImpactMojo, please tell us at hello@impactmojo.in — we treat it as a bug and fix it.
