Transparency & Commitments

What ImpactMojo commits to — and how we hold ourselves accountable.

Our Core Commitments

1. Free Content Stays Free

All 9 flagship courses, 39 foundational courses, 12 games, 10 labs, 400+ handouts, ImpactLex, Dev Case Studies, DevDiscourses, and the Dataverse are free. This is not a promotional offer or a trial period — it's the foundation of the platform.

What this means in practice:

  • We will never put existing free content behind a paywall

  • Premium tools exist to sustain the platform, not to make the free tier feel incomplete

  • If we ever need to change this commitment, we'll communicate it openly and in advance

2. Honest About What We Are

ImpactMojo is a small ed-tech platform, not a university or accredited institution. We're transparent about this:

  • Our certificates certify course completion only — they carry no institutional or regulatory weight

  • Our tools are designed for practitioners, not enterprise-grade software

  • Our content reflects best practices but may not apply to every local context

  • We have a small team, which means fast iteration but also limitations in support capacity

3. Content Accuracy

We take factual accuracy seriously because development professionals make real decisions based on what they learn:

  • All course content is written or reviewed by Dr. Varna Sri Raman (PhD, Development Economics)

  • Statistics and citations reference published, verifiable sources

  • When we use AI in content development, it goes through multi-stage expert review (see AI Policy)

  • When users report errors, we investigate and correct them

4. No Misleading Claims

  • We don't fabricate user numbers, testimonials, or impact metrics

  • We don't claim institutional affiliations or accreditations we don't have

  • We don't promise outcomes (jobs, skills, career advancement) that we can't guarantee

  • Our pricing is straightforward — no hidden fees, no surprise charges

How We Sustain the Platform

ImpactMojo generates revenue through:

Revenue source
What it is

Premium memberships

Practitioner (₹399/mo), Professional (₹999/mo), Organization (₹1,499/user/mo)

Workshops

Cohort-based training at ₹12,000–15,000 per cohort

Coaching

One-on-one sessions at ₹1,500–2,500 per session

Dojos

Practice sessions at ₹1,500 per person per session

Voluntary contributions

"Pay What You Think Is Fair" via UPI

This model means:

  • We're not dependent on a single donor or grant

  • Free content isn't funded by advertising or data monetisation

  • We don't sell user data or use it for marketing

  • Sliding-scale pricing ensures grassroots organisations aren't excluded

What We Track (And What We Don't)

We track:

  • Anonymous usage analytics (which pages are visited, how long, via Google Analytics)

  • Course completion rates (for logged-in users)

  • Platform performance (load times, errors)

We don't track:

  • Individual browsing behaviour for marketing purposes

  • Personal data beyond what you voluntarily provide (name, email)

  • Learning activity for the purpose of training AI models

See the Privacy Policy for full details.

Open Source

ImpactMojo's source code is publicly available on GitHub at github.com/Varnasr/ImpactMojoarrow-up-right. The codebase is licensed under MIT (source code) and CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 (educational content).

This means:

  • Anyone can inspect how the platform works

  • Contributors can suggest improvements, report bugs, or add content

  • The platform's technical decisions are visible and accountable

How to Hold Us Accountable

If you believe ImpactMojo is not living up to these commitments:

  1. Report it. Email hello@impactmojo.inenvelope or open an issue on GitHubarrow-up-right.

  2. We'll respond. Within 2 business days.

  3. We'll fix it. If we've made an error or failed to meet a commitment, we'll correct it and be transparent about what happened.

We'd rather hear about a problem and fix it than have it erode trust silently.
