ImpactMojo was built by people who've spent years working inside the development sector — not observing it from the outside. The platform exists because its founders experienced firsthand the gap between what development professionals need to know and what's available to them.
Dr. Varna Sri Raman — Founder, Learning Design & Impact
Varna is a development economist with a PhD and field experience across South Asia. She leads ImpactMojo's curriculum design, bringing together academic rigour and practitioner reality.
What she does at ImpactMojo:
Designs all 9 flagship courses, including the interactive lexicons and case studies
Leads the learning design philosophy — the "Concept → Example → Reflection → Application → Connection" framework that structures every module
Provides one-on-one coaching on research design, career counselling, and M&E capacity building
Co-hosts Between the Logframes, ImpactMojo's podcast on honest development practice
Background:
PhD in Development Economics
Specialises in social impact measurement, gender studies, and development research
Has worked across India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka

Our Approach
ImpactMojo is not a large organisation with separate teams for content, technology, marketing, and support. It's a small, focused team where the people who design the courses also run the workshops, host the podcast, and answer the emails.

Every piece of content reflects field experience. The courses aren't written by content writers who researched the topic — they're written by practitioners who've lived it.
The platform evolves based on real feedback. When workshop participants say "I wish there was a lab for this," it gets built. When a user reports an error, it gets fixed by someone who understands the subject matter.
We're honest about what we are and aren't. ImpactMojo is a small ed-tech platform, not a university. Our certificates certify completion, not accreditation. Our tools are practical, not enterprise-grade. We're transparent about this because trust matters more than marketing.
